Zoomlink: COMING SOON
The visual representation of data related to settlements and areas on maps is always a great aid and a striking complement to research, analyses, and studies. In countless fields of science, there is data that can be mapped and has been mapped; linking and analyzing this data together offers even greater opportunities for researchers. Furthermore, map-based visualization makes spatial relationships and research findings more understandable and transparent to the general public.
At the 17th instalment of the Kincs, ami van (‘Find a Treasure’) roundtable discussion series, we will be discussing the opportunities and challenges presented by geospatial data visualisation with our participants, who come from a variety of academic disciplines.
Participants in the discussion:
Eszter Tanács – HUN-REN Ecological Research Centre, Research Fellow
Gábor Demeter – ELTE Centre for the Humanities, GISta Hungarorum project leader
Gábor Tímár – ELTE Faculty of Science, Scientific Director of the MAPIRE project
Tamás Prajczer – GeoX Geoinformatics Ltd., Managing Director
Moderator:
Bálint Szabó – ELTE Research Centre for the Humanities, Institutional Data Steward
We warmly welcome anyone interested to attend the discussion in person at the JTI Meeting Room of the ELTE Centre for Social Sciences (Research Centre for the Humanities, 1097 Budapest, 4 Tóth Kálmán Street) or online.
Kincs, ami van (‘Find a Treasure’) is a series of educational events organised by HUN-REN ARP. During these roundtable discussions, we explore a variety of topics relating to research data and data repositories, with the participation of invited experts.
The event is free of charge and no registration is required. The event will be filmed and audio-recorded. If you have any questions, please contact the HUN-REN ARP team at @email.
