HUN-REN Data Repository Platform

The ARP Becomes a Member of a Certified Excellent Research Infrastructure Network

The KINYIT collaboration, established jointly by DH-LAB, HUN-REN ARP, MTMT, DigiPhil, and QULTO, has been awarded the designation of an excellent research infrastructure (RI) network. The certification was officially presented to the network on February 6 at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME).

Five research infrastructures—the Digital Heritage National Laboratory (DH-LAB), the HUN-REN Data Repository Platform (HUN-REN ARP), the Hungarian Science Bibliography (MTMT), the Hungarian literary studies philological portal (DigiPhil), and QULTO—have joined forces under the initiative "Research Infrastructure Network for Open Science" ("Kutatási Infrastruktúra Hálózat a Nyílt Tudományért" / KINYIT). The primary goal of this network is to support open science, harness synergies between institutions, and promote development.

Through regular consultations, the network assists its members, encourages efficient resource sharing, and seeks to attract additional funding for research infrastructure development through joint project applications. This fosters innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration. The KINYIT initiative is coordinated by Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) as the lead institution of the Digital Heritage National Laboratory (DH-LAB) consortium.

Based on the results of the "National Research Infrastructures 2023-2024" survey conducted by the National Research, Development, and Innovation Office (NKFIH), the National Research Infrastructure Committee (NKIB) has designated the KINYIT collaboration as an excellent research infrastructure network. The evaluation of new research infrastructures was conducted in multiple stages by NKIB, involving independent external experts.

Further details and the list of top-certified RIs can be found on the NKFIH website.
