In July 2025, the COAR International Repository Directory was launched, serving as a reliable and up-to-date source of information on repositories operating worldwide. This new database marks an important milestone in the advancement of open science, as repositories play a key role in research data management and in supporting developments based on artificial intelligence. The system is built on community-driven maintenance, with the University of Debrecen taking responsibility for managing the Hungarian records. Currently, 57 Hungarian repositories are listed in the directory, with data collected from several international sources. Updates related to the repositories of HUNOR member institutions can be submitted via openaire@lib.unideb.hu.
