On November 25, the "Our Data Gate is Open" conference marked the official launch of the ARP Data Repository, along with its associated services, making it fully accessible to users.
During the event, leaders of HUN-REN and the directors general of its founding institutes—HUN-REN TK, HUN-REN SZTAKI, and HUN-REN Wigner Research Centre for Physics—welcomed this unique platform, which offers unprecedented opportunities in Hungary. Following the opening remarks, past and present ARP leaders highlighted the project's national and international significance, addressing key topics such as the role of open science in today's research landscape.

The conference continued with discussions on two major ARP initiatives: the Data Steward Training Program, and the Ambassador Program, and also, surveys conducted among potential users of the ARP research network. Panel discussions featured data scientists who explored the challenges and importance of research data deposition and the critical role of data stewards in research support. Participants in the Ambassador Programs, who are already utilizing the repository, shared their experiences. They provided real-world examples from their respective scientific fields, detailing their journey in depositing research data, engaging with researchers, and navigating both the advantages and challenges of data repository usage.
