The largest annual event in the library profession, the Annual Conference of the Association of Hungarian Librarians, was held this year in Kecskemét on June 25–27, 2026.
On the second day of the conference, two data stewards from the research network, Ákos Lencsés (ELTE NYTK) and Bálint Szabó (ELTE HTK), gave a presentation as invited speakers in the “Digital Future” section titled “Research Data Management in the Humanities.”
The presenters demonstrated how HUN-REN supports the work of data stewards within the research network, and then provided specific examples of research management practices at the two largest Hungarian research centers in the humanities. In addition to daily tasks, the presenters also introduced the databases established and maintained at the two research centers, which differ significantly in structure.
The presentation, held in the ceremonial hall of the Kecskemét City Hall before an audience of about 100 people, fit well with the rest of the session’s program, which showcased research management opportunities.
