FAIR RDM Bootcamp for early-career data stewards

From 13 to 16 October, OpenAIRE will collaborate with DANS, University of Minho, VPC University of Latvia, and VINCA Institute, University of Belgrade to launch a comprehensive Bootcamp tailored for Data Stewards, entitled Empowering the Next Generation of Data Stewards: Join the FAIR RDM Bootcamp. Applications are welcome from early-career professionals working in research data management for the four-day course.

Those who apply for the bootcamp can participate in workshops led by experts and broaden their knowledge with the help of OpenPlato's e-learning materials and real-life case studies.

The Bootcamp is structured around five core pillars:

  • the role of Data Stewards across the research lifecycle
  • metadata and tools
  • applying FAIR principles through OpenAIRE services
  • legal and ethical challenges
  • reflective peer-supported learning practices

Participants will also explore certification frameworks such as CoreTrustSeal and acquire insights into policy making, and repositories.

The program includes Open Sessions that are open to everyone and Closed Sessions that require application. All sessions require registration.

The training can be useful and interesting for all Data Stewards, future Data Stewards, and anyone interested in data management!
