HUN-REN Cloud will hold its III. National HUN-REN Cloud Meetup on November 5, 2026, with an all-day event to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Hungarian Scientific Cloud.
Launched in 2016 as MTA Cloud, the initiative has grown over the past decade into a major national research infrastructure. Today, operating as HUN-REN Cloud, Hungary's research cloud has supported more than 460 research projects, contributing to nearly 600 scientific publications. Among these are several papers co-authored by Francis Halzen, this year's Nobel Prize laureate in Physics.
Our 10th anniversary provides an excellent opportunity to reflect on how it all began, explore future plans and opportunities for Hungary's research cloud, and hear firsthand from our users about their experiences with HUN-REN Cloud.
We warmly welcome everyone who has used HUN-REN Cloud, is considering using it in the future, or is simply interested in learning more.
Attendance in person is free of charge, but advance registration is required.
The registration deadline for in-person attendance is 27 October 2026. Please note that registration may close earlier if the venue reaches capacity.
