András Micsik was involved in the design of the ARP architecture, and led the development of the knowledge graph and metadata harvesting. He takes an active role in international relations and in consulting users on metadata management issues.
He is a Senior Research Fellow in the Distributed Systems Department of SZTAKI. He graduated from ELTE in Mathematical Programming Design and obtained his Ph.D. degree from the Doctoral School of Computer Science. He teaches courses on Semantic Web Applications and FAIR Research Data Management at the ELTE Doctoral School. His main interests include knowledge graphs, linked data and the semantic web. He is involved in the operation and development of several national EPrints, DSpace and Dataverse based repositories. András was the technical manager of the MTMT2 project and is currently coordinating the operation and further development of the new Hungarian Science Bibliography. In the Share-PSI project, he contributed to the development of European best practices for the provision of public data. He has also worked in several international and Hungarian R&D projects on semantic web, web services, digital libraries and teamwork support.
