Nagy Dénes köszöntése

Dénes Lajos Nagy is a university professor, professor emeritus, and a recognized researcher in nuclear condensed matter physics. He is a member of the Department of Nuclear Materials Science at the Wigner Research Centre for Physics, Institute for Particle and Nuclear Physics. His expertise lies in Mössbauer spectroscopy-based material analysis, a measurement method he began applying in the 1960s at the former Central Research Institute for Physics. Over time, he gradually expanded his scientific activities into other areas of nuclear solid-state physics and magnetism, conducting research at international institutions and large-scale research infrastructures worldwide.

Beyond his research, Dénes Nagy actively participates in shaping research infrastructure policy through various national and international committees. Within the ARP project, he focuses on the national utilization of the opportunities provided by the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC). Assessing how Hungarian researchers use the research data and results made accessible through the European open science data cloud in the field of physical sciences, his primary goal is to inform and persuade experts about its potential.

In his honor, on September 6, colleagues, students, and research partners organized an international symposium. Joining in the celebration, the ARP team also wishes him a very happy birthday and many more successful years in his work.

Happy Birthday, dear Dénes!
