On May 29, 2025, the informal Data Steward Meeting series organized jointly by the ELTE National Laboratory for Digital Heritage (ELTE DH-LAB), the HUN-REN Data Repository Platform (HUN-REN ARP), and Pro-M Zrt. continued. On the fifth event in the series the Department of Digital Humanities, Faculty of Humanities, Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) hosted the participants: the organisers and others from the Budapest University of Economics and Business, the University of Debrecen, several HUN-REN institutes and the Hungarian Jewish Museum and Archives among others.
At the event, moderated by Zsuzsa Sidó (ELTE DH-LAB), participants devided into 4 groups created Kratt monsters supporting research data management, then discussed the capabilities, usefulness and threats of the creatures, and through that the main challenges and possible solutions for data stewards. After the monster-making workshop, there was also a short time for a summary of the Networkshop Conference 2025.






The Data Steward Meeting events provides an opportunity for members of the Hungarian data steward community to meet, network, and build professional connections. During these informal gatherings, participants receive updates on the latest news and developments in the field, discuss the developing of the profession, and share their experiences.
